Private catamaran in Santorini — your boat, your rules
A private catamaran charter for up to seventeen guests with skipper and crew: the caldera loop rebuilt around you, the grill and the bar working for your table only, and no stranger in a single photo.
Why go private
What does a private boat tour in Santorini change?
Everything except the sea. On our Santorini private cruise the route becomes a conversation: stay an hour longer at Mesa Pigadia because the water is perfect, skip the hot springs because you'd rather swim the clear stuff, cross to Thirasia for lunch off a beach with no road to it. The skipper proposes, you decide, the weather keeps its one veto.
The arithmetic is friendlier than most people guess. The Santorini catamaran charter is €1,200 with six guests included, then €100 per extra seat up to seventeen — fill the boat and it lands around €135 a head, less than most shared cruises, with nobody else's playlist on it. For families with small children, groups celebrating something, or anyone who flinches at the word "queue", it's the correct answer.
And for one particular question — the four-word one — a private sunset cruise in Santorini is the best venue we know. Keep reading.
Three ways to take it
Pick your charter
The Morning Charter
The caldera loop at your pace, full sun, longest swims. Ideal for families and groups of friends.
9:30–14:30€1,200 · 6 guests+€100/extra · max 17
The Sunset Charter
The flagship experience with zero audience — dinner off the grill and the golden hour off Akrotiri held for your party alone.
14:30–19:30€1,200 · 6 guests+€100/extra · max 17
The Full Day
Morning swims, long lunch at anchor, Thirasia ashore, and home through the sunset. The caldera, completed — it has its own page.
10:30–20:30€2,400 · 6 guests+€100/extra · max 17
Proposals · honeymoons · weddings · bachelor parties
The four-word question, staged properly
We've held the golden hour for more proposals than we can count, and the choreography is rehearsed: the ring's timing agreed in advance, the crew briefed to vanish at the right moment, and the skipper angling the stern so the sun lands exactly behind you. The dedicated yacht proposal package is €1,600 — five hours, morning (10:30–15:30) or sunset (15:30–20:30), eight guests included, +€100 per extra. Honeymoon sailings, vow renewals, micro-weddings and bachelor parties ride the same boat — tell us the dream, we'll rig it.
- Photography arranged on request — golden-hour session on your own deck
- Cake, flowers & gourmet catering options from makers we use for our own family
- Absolute discretion — the surprise survives every time
Included and good to know
Every charter includes
- Skipper & crew of 1–2 — you sail, they work
- Fully customisable caldera loop (longer at Thirasia on request)
- BBQ meal grilled on board: chicken fillet, shrimp, salad, pasta, dips
- Local wine, beer, soft drinks & water — champagne on request
- Snorkelling gear, towels, freshwater shower
- Hotel pickup & drop-off anywhere on Santorini
Good to know

- Weather rule as always: port-authority cancellation = full refund or free rebooking

Charter questions
How much is a private catamaran in Santorini?
€1,200 for five hours (morning or sunset) with six guests included, +€100 per extra guest up to seventeen. Crew, food, wine, gear and transfers included. Fill the boat and it's ~€135 each — less than a shared seat.
Can we really change the route?
Yes — linger, skip, swap, stay longer by Thirasia. The skipper knows where the day's calmest, clearest water is; the weather holds the only veto.
Do you stage proposals?
Quietly and often — the yacht proposal package (€1,600, eight guests included) covers the staging, and photography can be arranged on request. Record so far: zero refusals.
How many guests fit?
Six are included in the base price; the boat is licensed for up to seventeen on a private charter at +€100 a seat. She's a 44-foot Lagoon — seventeen still get corners of their own.
Skippered only, or bareboat?
Skippered only. The caldera looks gentle and isn't; our crew comes with the boat, and honestly they're half the experience.
